Roast Turkey with all the trimmings



  • Co-op medium whole turkey, 4.5kg*
  • 2 x 125g packs Co-op Irresistible cranberry & apple stuffing, mixed with 500ml boiling water
  • 75g Co-op unsalted butter, softened
  • 240g pack Co-op pigs in blankets
  • Rosemary and parsley sprigs, to garnish


  1. Preheat the oven to 190oC/fan 170oC/gas 5
  2. Remove the giblets (if any) from inside the turkey and tie the legs together
  3. Loosen the skin at the neck end and fill the cavity with half the stuffing
  4. Pull the skin over the stuffing, then secure underneath with small metal skewers
  5. Rub butter all over the bird
  6. Loosely cover with foil
  7. Roast for 3 hours 10 mins, basting 3 or 4 times and removing the foil for the final 45 mins
  8. Remove from the oven when golden and the juices run clear when a skewer is inserted into the thigh
  9. Cover with foil and leave to stand for 35 mins
  10. Meanwhile, turn up the oven to 200oC/fan 180oC/gas 6
  11. Shape the remaining stuffing into 12 balls, and roast with the pigs in blankets for 25-30 mins, until cooked through. Garnish with the herbs to serve
